Director of FP&A (IT/Tech Optimization & Biz Partner)

Responsibilities

Kforce is working with a dynamic, growth-oriented organization seeking a Finance professional to support FP&A, IT/Tech and FinOps initiatives. This role partners closely with executive leadership and Technology teams to drive financial planning, optimize cloud and technology spend, and improve ROI across strategic investments. This is a highly visible, strategic role with strong leadership exposure and the opportunity to build and scale financial frameworks around cloud and technology investment. Duties:

• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning, including scenario modeling
• Partner with CFO and Technology leadership on financial strategy and investment decisions
• Manage and forecast cloud spend (AWS/Azure), including cost optimization initiatives
• Analyze usage trends and identify opportunities to reduce and better predict spend
• Support vendor negotiations, including savings plans and reserved capacity strategies
• Deliver budget vs. forecast reporting with clear insights and actionable recommendations
• Build ROI models for technology and strategic initiatives
• Develop dashboards and visualizations to improve cost transparency
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Technology, Procurement, and business leaders
• Drive process improvements to enhance financial visibility and efficiency
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5-15 years of FP&A/finance experience (level flexible)
• Experience supporting CTP/technology or IT finance environments
• Understanding of managing cloud financial spend (utilizing tools such as AWS Cost Explorer or related)
• Hands-on with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and cloud cost platforms
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and operate in a fast-paced setting
  
  

Nice To Have

• FinOps certification or similar background
• Experience with AWS cost tools, savings plans, and usage optimization
• Exposure to ERP/FP&A systems (e.g., Anaplan, Coupa, Business Central)
• SQL or Python for data analysis
  
  

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
