Kforce's client in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Customer Authentication Engineer III to join the Authentication Core Team supporting digital authentication, identity orchestration, and customer onboarding initiatives across enterprise digital platforms. Summary: This team focuses on enhancing secure authentication experiences using modern identity technologies and cloud-based authentication solutions within an Agile development environment. Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support and enhance enterprise authentication and identity platforms
- Develop and troubleshoot authentication integrations and workflows
- Support authentication orchestration initiatives using platforms such as Okta
- Improve customer onboarding and account authentication experiences
- Partner with engineering, security, and application teams on authentication initiatives
- Analyze and resolve authentication-related production issues
- 5 years of software engineering, authentication engineering, or related experience
- OAuth 2.0
- OIDC
- SAML/SAML 2.0
- JWT
- MFA/SSO
- Experience with authentication and identity management platforms
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Java preferred (Python acceptable)
- Experience with Okta or similar identity orchestration platforms
- Familiarity with FIDO/WebAuthn and risk-based authentication
- AWS and/or Azure experience
- Banking or financial services background preferred
- Experience with GitHub Copilot is a plus
