The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Kforce has a client in Tampa, FL that is seeking a Controller. Duties:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and fixed assets accounting
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit healthcare accounting standards
- Prepare consolidated financial statements for a $200M organization, including multiple entities or programs as applicable
- Manage the month-end and year-end close processes (including inventory costing) ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines
- Support Foundation Supply Chain and Materials Management to ensure accurate inventory
- Oversee the timely and accurate completion of annual Medicare cost reports; Coordinates with the Director of Finance & Accounting on Medicare audits and communications
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including healthcare-specific
- Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors; CCoordinate annual financial audits, single audits, and regulatory examinations
- Support compliance with IRS Form 990 reporting and other required filings
- Partner with the CFO in the development and monitoring of the annual operating and capital budgets
- Provide variance analysis and financial insights to support executive leadership and department
- Support long-range financial planning, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Oversee financial systems, including ERP and accounting software; partner with IT and vendors on upgrades and enhancements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with CPA or advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
- Significant experience in nonprofit and/or healthcare accounting, preferably within a large, complex organization ($100M ) containing multiple departmentalized budgetary cost centers
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and healthcare finance practices
- Demonstrated experience managing audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments
- Strong analytical skills to detect and correct discrepancies
- Excellent customer service skills, in person, on the phone and in writing
- General understanding of health care related reimbursement and accounting issues, and a basic
