Role Description The Audit Associate role is a full-time, remote position. In this role, the Audit Associate supports financial audit engagements by performing detailed testing of financial transactions and controls, reviewing financial statements, and assisting in the identification of potential risks or irregularities. The individual collaborates with audit team members to prepare working papers, document findings, and contribute to audit reports and recommendations. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial data, verifying compliance with applicable standards and regulations, and communicating observations to senior team members and clients in a clear, professional manner. The Audit Associate is expected to maintain strong attention to detail, meet project deadlines, and uphold Kforce’s quality and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in external audit function within Big 4 or a regional consulting firm, supporting Asset Wealth Management group
- Ability to work with Financial Statements and apply core Finance knowledge to audit engagements
- Strong Analytical Skills for evaluating financial data, identifying trends, and assessing risks
- Foundational experience in Auditing, including participation in Financial Audits and testing of internal controls
- Understanding of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and relevant regulatory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; progress toward CPA or related certification is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other common audit or accounting tools
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple assignments with strong time management
- High level of integrity, professional judgment, and commitment to confidentiality
