Position Summary
KFI Sauces is Canada’s fastest-growing manufacturer of authentic Indian cooking sauces and
marinades. We are seeking an aggressive and network-driven Foodservice Sales Specialist to
spearhead our commercial B2B division. In this role, you will transition KFI's culinary success
from retail shelves into the commercial back-of-house, pitching bulk flavor solutions to culinary directors, franchise developers, and corporate chefs.
Core Responsibilities
B2B Pipeline Development: Identify and secure new high-volume business
opportunities within multi-unit restaurant chains, fast-casual franchises, universities,
hotels, and contract caterers.
Bulk Product Placement: Pitch and sell KFI’s commercial-sized bulk sauces and pastes
(Butter Chicken, Korma, Tandoori Paste, Chutneys) as labor-saving, consistent menu
solutions.
Menu Engineering ,Culinary Consultations: Collaborate directly with corporate
chefs and R&D teams to demonstrate cross-menu applications (e.g., using KFI sauces for
wings, flatbreads, fusion tacos, and pastas).
Distributor Management: Partner with national and regional foodservice distributor
sales representatives (Sysco, GFS, etc.) to ensure product availability, support secondary
sales, and clear distribution roadblocks.
Custom Formulations Private Label Collaboration: Act as the liaison between
large chain clients and the KFI manufacturing plant to facilitate custom profile
adjustments or private-label packaging requirements.
Trade Show Execution: Lead KFI's commercial presence at major foodservice trade
events, including the Restaurants Canada Show (RC Show) and local distributor food
shows to generate and follow up on high-value leads.
Contract & Pricing Negotiation: Formulate margin-conscious, high-volume pricing
agreements, term sheets, and volume-based rebates for institutional clients.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3 years of successful foodservice sales or B2B culinary sales experience
within the Canadian food industry. Experience working directly with commercial chains
and broad-liners is highly valued.
Industry Network: Existing, live relationships with culinary directors, franchise menu
developers, and major foodservice distribution broad liners across Canada.
Culinary Acumen: Strong understanding of back-of-house restaurant operations, labor
challenges, food cost percentages, and recipe scalability. (A culinary arts background or
chef experience is a major asset).
Certifications Knowledge: General familiarity with food manufacturing safety standards
relevant to institutional buyers (e.g., SQF, HACCP, Allergen controls).
Travel: Must possess a valid Ontario driver's license and a reliable vehicle for client
presentations, kitchen demonstrations, and regional market development.
Salary & Benefits
$65,000 and 20% Bonus with health benefits.
Pay: $65,000.00 per year
