- Oversee transportation planning, including freight management, shipping & receiving, and dispatching to ensure on-time delivery.
- Manage warehouse distribution activities, including inventory control, stocking, materials handling, and warehouse management system (WMS) operations.
- Coordinate procurement and sourcing efforts by working closely with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, contracts, and category management strategies.
- Utilize data analysis skills and supply chain analytics tools such as SQL, Tableau, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, AS400) to monitor key performance indicators and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to optimize workflow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on demand planning, production scheduling (MRP), and inventory management to meet customer demands efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with transportation management systems (TMS), 3PL providers (Third-Party Logistics), NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and other logistics regulations.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills with proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and supply chain management software.
- Extensive warehouse experience including inventory control, materials handling, shipping & receiving, and warehouse management system (WMS).
- Proven negotiation skills for procurement activities and vendor management.
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight forwarding, NVOCC operations, and logistics contracts.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment such as forklifts; forklift certification is preferred.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies like root cause analysis to enhance supply chain efficiency.
- Familiarity with e-commerce logistics, demand planning tools like MRP systems, and inventory management practices.
- Excellent analysis skills for supply chain analytics, procurement strategies, pricing models, and profit & loss considerations.
