What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Controls Data & AI Analyst position at KFC Airport?
The Project Controls Data & AI Analyst is a new position that will analyze construction cost datasets into actionable insights, develop estimating frameworks and tools (including AI-assisted methods), perform and help automate quantity takeoffs, and support the creation of a new Project Controls service line. As part of the selection process, applicants may be asked to complete a short assessment to evaluate job-related skills and competencies.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of work experience.
- Curious, analytical, and self-motivated.
- Interested in computers, AI, data, and how things are built.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and other CAD tools.
- Comfortable digging into large sets of information and organizing them into something useful.
- Drawn to both the technical and practical sides of problem-solving.
- Experience with Excel, Python, Power BI, or data tools.
- Ability to read or interested in learning construction drawings.
- Exposure to construction, engineering, or design.
- Able to operate in a professional office environment.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Able to sit for long periods of time while working on the computer and communicating with various customers via telephone and video links.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb or balance, stop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Positive service-orientated attitude toward the firm, our employees, and the clients.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Analyze construction cost data.
- Develop usable estimating frameworks.
- Organize and structure large datasets into meaningful insights.
- Support development of new tools and workflows, including AI-assisted estimating.
- Learn and apply quantity takeoffs from drawings (with an eye toward automation).
- Contribute to building a new, niche Project Controls service line.
LOCATION: Honolulu, HI
SALARY RANGE: $82,000–$114,824 per year depending on experience
