What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sports Reporter/Anchor position at KEZI?

LOCATION: Eugene, Oregon
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- College degree in journalism or related discipline required. 1-2 years’ experience as a sports reporter/anchor preferred. Ability to shoot, write, edit clearly and efficiently under extreme deadline pressure. Ability to use, transport and lift video camera equipment and tripod (approx. 55 lbs.) without assistance from grip or photographer. Ability to work shifts as assigned including weekends, weeknights, overnights, and holidays as needed. Some travel required. Outstanding interpersonal skills. Must have a clean driving record.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position is primarily responsible for researching, developing, shooting, writing, editing, producing, and narrating sports reports for a variety of content distribution platforms, including KEZI 9 News, kezi.com, KEZI 9 News Mobile, Facebook, Twitter, MeTV, and other stations and platforms in the broadcast group. Overseeing sportscasts and sports specials in all phases of production. Serving as a public representative of KEZI 9 News at various community functions. Other duties as assigned by the Sports Director, News Director, or General Manager.

This is a full-time salaried position.
