Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Help with mobility by lifting and transferring patients safely.
- Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
- Provide support in various settings including Level I Trauma Centers, critical care units, assisted living facilities, and operating rooms (OR).
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Respond promptly to patient calls and needs, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient areas.
Requirements
- Previous experience in geriatrics or acute care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical records management and electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent training is required.
