Essential Duties and Requirements:
- Conduct on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for trailers at various locations
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure trailers meet safety and compliance standards
- Welding and fabrication for structural repairs
- Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, electrical and hydraulics
- Safety utilize mobile service vehicle and equipment to deliver timely and effective solutions
- Efficiently utilize field service management software to keep accurate records of all parts used and all maintenance and repairs performed
- Effectively use smart phone and tablet to communicate with team members and management
- Keep mobile service vehicle, tools, and parts clean and organized
- Maintain productivity standards
- Manage time effectively while working independently
- Abide by all company policies and safety rules
- Perform other routine duties as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years trailer repair (or related field) experience
- Clean and insurable driving record
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to operate a box truck style vehicle
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- Must have own tools (specialty tools supplied)
Physical Requirements:
- Constant standing, reaching, and feeling
- Frequent head turning, bending, kneeling, climbing, heavy lifting, stooping, squatting, side reaching and pinching.
- Regularly operate hand tools, motor vehicles and job specific equipment and tools
- Demonstrative the ability to hear and accurately interpret mechanical, technical, and business information in an environment subject to noise.
- Ability to visibly inspect small defects and/or small parts
- Frequently exposed to outside elements/conditions
- Frequently lift or exert a force up to 50 pounds with the occasional need to lift or exert up to 75 pounds.
Hours of operation: Mon-Fri, 7am - 5pm (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch)
