What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Controller position at Keystone Staffing Solutions, LLC?
Job Functions:
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate, timely, and audit-ready financial reporting while continuously improving processes, controls, and documentation across the accounting function.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures in compliance with US GAAP, including oversight of revenue recognition, contract accounting, equity-related accounting, and other complex accounting matters.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements and financial reporting packages for internal leadership, Board materials, investors, auditors, and other external stakeholders. Serve as the final owner of financial data integrity, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and accounting documentation.
- Design and maintain a sound internal control environment; serve as primary liaison for external auditors, tax advisors, and valuation providers; proactively identify and mitigate accounting and reporting risks.
- Serve as owner of NetSuite and key upstream finance systems while driving automation and process improvements, minimize risk.
- Collaborate closely with FP&A, Legal, HR, Technology, Product, and Operations teams to support new initiatives, contracts, growth programs, and strategic projects. Provide accounting guidance to non-finance stakeholders and help build scalable operational processes as the company grows.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA strongly preferred, but not required. Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience in healthcare or technology-related businesses strongly preferred
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of month-end close and GAAP-compliant financial reporting
- Solid understanding of GAAP and technical accounting concepts, including revenue (ASC 606) recognition and equity-related accounting
- Experience with NetSuite or comparable enterprise ERP systems
- Proven ability to build, improve, and scale accounting processes and controls in high-growth or complex environments
- Demonstrated success driving automation, process improvements, and system enhancements
- Exposure to, or strong interest in, emerging AI-enabled / AI-native finance tools and workflows
- High integrity, strong attention to detail, and ownership mindset
- Automation-first mindset with a bias toward building scalable, repeatable processes
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping bring structure as the company grows
Salary : $135,000 - $155,000
