School Year AmeriCorps Full Time Position Details
*Documents needed to enroll: Government Issued Photo ID, Signed Social Security Card, US Birth Certificate or another form of Proof of Citizenship.
No credentials required, only the desire to learning, work with a team, and serve the community and children of the families participating in the programs in collaboration with Mercer County Housing Authority.
Living Allowance Paid Bi-Monthly
$2,491.12 gross monthly through the school year
Term Education Award:
Earn up to: $5,176.50 Education Award
- Additionally, loan forbearance (pause in loan payments) while serving in AmeriCorps
- Accrued interest while serving as an AmeriCorps member paid by AmeriCorps program
- Education Award Earned when term is successfully completed
- If you are 55 years of age or older, the education award can be transferred to child, grandchild, or foster child
Service Site Location: Sharpsville, PA - Sharpsville Gardens Learning Center
Position will include activities prepared and implemented with a team member in STEM and assistance with social behavioral development with children's 3-5 years of age with the implementation of STEM-Homework Help Tuesday-Thursday with elementary children in the Sharpsville community.
Schedule:
Monday - 9:15 am - 5:00 pm
Tuesday - 9:15 am - 5:00 pm
Wednesday - 9:15 am - 5:00 pm
Thursday - 9:15 am - 5:00 pm
Friday - 9:15 am - 3:30 pm

All members must participate in a two-day pre-service training their first and second day of service via virtual training.
