We’re looking for a Dental Assistant to join our team at Keystone Pediatric Dental, where we are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the early teen years. Our providers have the experience and qualifications to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood.
Location: Keystone Pediatric Dental
Employment Type: Full Time/ 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday)
Schedule: No Weekends and No Holidays!
Job Description: This position will assist the dentists and hygienists in the care and treatment of patients. The DA will perform duties in the field of reception, chair side assisting, inventory, records, and any duties assigned under the supervision of the Dental Director and the Office Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist and hygienists with procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments/equipment.
- Capture radiographs.
- Provide oral hygiene instruction/education to patients.
- Maintain patient records and inventory.
- Ensure tidiness of treatment areas.
- Maintain patient flow and assist with reception duties.
- Expedite patient care whenever possible.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- One year’s experience as a dental assistant or one year of dental assisting school required.
- High school graduate or GED equivalency.
- Hold a current CPR Certification
- DANB Certification preferred
- Spanish-speaking skills a plus but not required.
