Responsibilities
- Monitor pool areas continuously to enforce safety rules and prevent accidents
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations using first aid and CPR techniques
- Conduct regular pool maintenance tasks, including cleaning, chemical testing, and equipment checks to ensure optimal water quality
- Assist guests with pool access, provide information about pool rules, and offer excellent guest services
- Perform routine pool cleaning duties such as skimming debris, scrubbing surfaces, and maintaining cleanliness of surrounding areas
- Inspect safety equipment regularly and report any maintenance needs or hazards promptly
- Support overall pool operations by helping with setup for swim lessons or special events as needed
Requirements
- Proven lifeguard experience with current certification in CPR and First Aid
- Ability to swim proficiently and demonstrate strong swimming skills
- Knowledge of pool maintenance procedures including chemical testing and cleaning protocols
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, prolonged standing, walking, and quick movements in emergency situations
- Prior experience in guest services or customer-facing roles is preferred
- Willingness to undergo training on safety procedures, pool cleaning techniques, and emergency response protocols
- Must be at least 16 years old (or age as specified by local regulations)
- Open weekends starting Memorial Day Weekend. Full season opening 7 days a week starts mid-June through Labor Day weekend. Guaranteed pay rain or shine. Must be able to work through Labor Day weekend.
