Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and physical evaluations.
- Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with DEA regulations and collaborative practice agreements.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for medication management, and patient education.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals across disciplines to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including behavioral health, primary care, and specialty services.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as IntakeQ for accurate documentation of diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to mental health services for remote or underserved populations.
- Inperson hybrid system is a must for this job.
- Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies to promote recovery and resilience.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with valid state licensure.
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations, including adults and geriatrics population.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR and video telehealth systems such as IntakeQ and Doxy.me
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology, including medication administration and monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health assessment tools and diagnostic criteria such as ICD-10 coding standards.
- Critical care experience or hospital medicine background is advantageous; psychiatric care
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation best practices to ensure confidentiality and compliance.
