What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality and Standards Lab Supervisor position at Keystone Powdered Metal Company?
Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for a full-time Quality and Standards Lab Supervisor who will be working in our St. Marys, PA location. This person will report to the Quality Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain operation and personnel of the Quality Assurance and Standards Lab at the St. Marys facility.
- Identify and assure follow-up of internal quality problems.
- Coordinate training of various lab personnel.
- Assist Engineering, Tooling and Production Personnel in developing and evaluating Process Techniques and in developing related Test Procedures.
- Ensure lab personnel are technically competent to provide analysis for support of production.
- Coordinate the completion of quality and engineering submissions (PPAP, etc.)
- Act as a knowledge resource for testing equipment.
- Assist all facilities on tool inspection and storage issues.
- Maintain Production and Quality SPC Systems.
- Identify and implement opportunities for data interfacing.
- Identify and develop innovative ways to inspect product.
- Evaluate current and existing gaging for accurate part inspection.
- Participate in Customer and 3rd Party audits.
Qualifications
- Minimum two-year technical degree or equivalent experience is required for this position.
- Familiar with IATF 16949
- Possess excellent written and verbal skills.
- Possess excellent math skills.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Show excellent organizational skills.
- Show leadership skills.
Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
