Die Setter B for 3rd shift (11pm - 7am)

Die Setter B

Keystone Powdered Metal Company, a Sumitomo Electric Group company, is looking for an experienced full-time Diesetter B for Third shift to work in our Cherryville, NC, location. This person will report to the Engineer Manager.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

· To efficiently and safely make less to moderately complex setups on mechanical equipment in the molding operations with minimal assistance.

· To efficiently and safely operate equipment, including making satisfactory

adjustments to ensure product quality. This includes the ability to adjust furnace

temperature and/or belt speed.

· To know and follow procedures applicable to this job classification.

· Legibly record and maintain applicable product/process information.

· Effectively utilize measuring equipment and information obtained from

its use to ensure continuation of control conditions.

· Provide active input to continuous process improvement.

· Effectively communicate job related information to co-workers, supervisors,

and others who need to know.

· Maintain cooperative relationships with other functional areas.

· Reliable, consistent attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.

· Assist maintenance with the repair of equipment and minor repairs

· Provide assistance in writing new envisioning of old procedures

· Participate in the training of the others and aid in the appraisal

Qualifications.

· Able to read and understand procedures, process sheets, etc.

· Able to do basic math calculations such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing

· Understand decimals, fractions, percentages, averages,

· Set up/troubleshoot designated equipment/assemblies to the required complexity.

· Operate and adjust required equipment properly.

· Properly use measuring equipment and accurately interpret results.

· Understand and apply SPC fundamentals

· Demonstrate practical writing skills with regard to appropriate records, reports, and procedures.

The base salary range for this position is $22.00/hour to $24.00/hour.​

Compensation may vary depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, competencies, and location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation and benefits package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
