We are accepting applications for pallet repairers to repair wooden pallets and fill in on forklift when needed.
This is a manual labor position consisting of taking apart and repairing wooden pallets on a full time production basis. The position requires use of commercial pnuematic nail gun, constant repetitive motion, standing for entire shift, ability to lift 50-55 lbs. to shoulder height and ability to move pallets from stack to work table for repair then restack. Experience with commercial pnuematic nail gun preferred. Forklift experience a plus.
Steel toed boots & jeans required. Other PPE provided.
Standard work schedule is 9 hour days Monday - Thursday , 6:00 am - 3:30 pm and 6:00 am - 10:00 am on Friday.
Competitive starting pay of $16.00/hour. Benefits include paid holidays, PTO, Vacation, Health insurance and IRA after qualifying period.
Repairers have a 4 week training period. Pay goes to piece rate per pallet repaired after training period. Piece rate allows you to set your own pay rate based on your production. Experienced employees on piece rate are averaging $20.00/hour.
This is a construction/production type position in a warehouse environment. Conditions can be noisy and dusty. You must be able to adapt to variable warehouse climates.
