What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mill Operator Position - Night Shift position at Keystone Mills LLC?
The purpose for this position is to assist in daily operational duties at the Conventional Manufacturing Facility. The Mill Worker can reside in either the Warehouse area or the Production area, as there is significant overlap in their duties.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Pellet Mill Operation (training provided)
- Operate Forklifts and other heavy equipment
- Work in Baggage operations
- Handle Hand Adds as required
- Operate Micro Scale adding processes as required
- Maintain equipment necessary for Mill Operations as needed
- Assist Maintenance staff with Housekeeping needs
- Some Mixer Panel Operation (training provided)
- Perform other duties as assigned

Follows Keystone Mills’ Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma or the equivalent thereof, and 1 or more years of agricultural related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of basic business principals of inventory management and mechanics.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic math skills (be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide)
- Good communication skills in order to provide effective communication to team members and other department staff
- Basic organizational abilities; as needed, ensure that paperwork is complete and accurate
- Basic critical thinking abilities to be able to spot problems and be able to solve them with minimal direction
- Frequently required to lift 51-70 lbs, lifting is a daily requirement.
- Frequently exposed to working conditions may include dust with appropriate safety measures. Environment has animal additives which some of the dust can produce unnecessary allergic reactions for some [ mask required all the time].
- Hours Mon – Fri 5pm-3am some Saturdays as needed, mandatory overtime.
- Accountability and integrity to ensure that all SQF and GMP policies are being followed, mistakes or errors are reported immediately and that short cuts are not taken to save time
- Basic analytical ability to gather and summarize data, suggest possible solutions to various administrative problems
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push pull, reach crouch, bend, kneel, climb, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists
- Close mental and visual attention required for controlling equipment or processes at a rapid pace requiring close coordination and fine adjustment

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
