Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive legal research across multiple practice areas including estate planning, business law, and landlord-tenant law.
Assist in drafting legal documents such as wills, trusts, contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
Manage legal case files using document management systems; ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Support attorneys with client interviews by preparing questions and summarizing interview notes to facilitate case development.
Perform administrative duties including answering client calls, data entry, filing, proofreading, transcription, and maintaining organized case files.
Utilize legal research tools such as LexisNexis to gather pertinent case law, statutes, regulations, and other relevant information.
Assist with project management tasks related to probate, litigation, or transactional matters to ensure deadlines are met efficiently.
Provide executive administrative support by managing client intake, firm calendars, scheduling meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining professional phone etiquette.
Requirements
Paralegal experience or equivalent legal administrative experience in a law office setting is required.
Strong knowledge of estate planning law.
Proficiency in Microsoft tools, legal research platforms such as LexisNexis, and legal document generation technology is critical.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription and document review processes.
Strong communication skills including interviewing techniques and professional phone etiquette.
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and filing tasks.
Second language is a plus, but not a requirement for consideration.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
