Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Location: Chambersburg, PA

Keystone Health is seeking LPNs to join the team. We are a fast paced, expanding Community Health Center. We are a mission-driven organization committed to serving the medically underserved in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functions within the scope of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN); maintains competency to function as an LPN.
• Reviews and prepares Electronic Health Record (EHR) information prior to patient’s appointment.
• Prepare patient information for appointments by obtaining appropriate vital signs, reconciling medications, processing requests for medication renewals in a timely manner, and documenting accurately and timely in the EHR.
• Assist providers with providing care and performing procedures.
• Carries out provider’s orders, including completing requisitions for tests, medication administration and CLIA waived lab tests.
• Provides patient education.
• Provides assistance to patients; communicates test and lab results as well as treatment ordered.
• Collects samples, such as urine, stool, sputum, and blood from patients for testing.
• Sterilizes equipment as assigned.
• Responsible for room prep between patients and at end of day.
• Orients and mentor’s new hires and students, as assigned.
• Attend department meetings and complete all the required training.
• Participate in organizational quality initiatives as requested.
• Understand various KH programs and communicate relevant information to patients.
• Assists with various clerical tasks as necessary.
  
  

Qualifications

• Current LPN license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
