Job Details: Job Summary: The Part-Time Security Officer is responsible for monitoring the daily traffic of individuals and vehicles entering and exiting the Tyson Foods Inc. facility. Key duties include answering phone calls, coordinating with Material Handling regarding load statuses, and enforcing Tyson policies as necessary. This role involves constant communication with truck drivers, vendors, customers, and team members to ensure a secure and efficient flow of operations. Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor as needed. The security department operates across three shifts, and shift assignments will be determined upon job offer. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage vehicle and foot traffic entering and leaving the facility. Inspect items being brought into or taken out of the facility to ensure compliance with company policies. Answer phone calls and maintain communication with the Material Handling team regarding the status of loads. Maintain constant, professional communication with truck drivers, vendors, customers, and team members. Enforce Tyson policies as needed to ensure facility safety and security. Complete other assigned duties as directed by the supervisor. Requirements: Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required. Experience: No prior experience necessary; training will be provided. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills required. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, especially in stressful situations. Position-Specific Requirements: Excellent attendance record, with 6 points or fewer for internal applicants. Strong disciplinary and safety records. Ability to work in both hot and cold environments. Capable of working independently as well as under supervision. Positive work ethic and attitude. Shift Information: The security department operates 3 shifts, and shift assignment will be determined upon job offer.
