Job Overview:
The Business Development Executive is responsible for generating new leads, following new and existing leads and successfully closing sales. The position is also responsible for the communication with customers and both internal and external business partners to ensure a high-quality outcome. This position offers a base salary with a commission structure. Commission payments are distributed on a monthly basis.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for meeting sales goals and metrics for new business growth in a defined territory.
Oversee the entire new business relationship, including prospecting, cold calls, creating opportunities, closing business deals and realizing the customer’s initial purchases.
Effectively manage prospects and new customers in challenging situations, providing a solution that invokes feelings of confidence, security and respect. Recognize a customer’s time is valuable and strive to address and meet their needs in an efficient and timely manner.
Lead proposals, negotiations and coordinate complex decision-making processes while overcoming objections in order to maximize new business sales and growth.
Coordinate with estimating team on new projects using the ERP system
Analyze accounts, monitor revenue trends and competitive information to develop customer cost savings and pricing recommendations.
Manage the new account set up process, interfacing with Credit, Billing, Account Management and Customer Service team members to establish a seamless customer onboarding experience.
Compile, in CRM software (Pipedrive), weekly sales recaps on achievements, losses and competitive information.
Update and maintain a database with accurate customer account information, along with all business activities and communication.
Manage and grow existing business on a yearly basis by addressing customer needs.
Qualifications:
3 years’ experience in outside sales
Fully developed professional able to work without direction or guidance from others
Sense of urgency, self-initiative, commitment and sense of ownership is a must
Superior follow-up and follow-through skills
Team-oriented, ability to create strong internal relationships, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communications, presentation, customer service, business, and negotiation skills

Confidence in building strong relationships with customers
Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities
Excellent problem solving and advanced analytical skills
Knowledge on how to apply sales techniques.
Knowledge of foam fabrication preferred
Skills and Competencies:
Able to communicate clearly and professionally with customers
Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Basic to advanced knowledge of spreadsheet creation, data analysis, and reporting in Microsoft Excel
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
Patience in dealing with challenging customer situations
Experience in prospecting/cold-calling and opening new relationships with potential customers both in person and over the phone
Physical Requirements:
Remote position with the ability to travel up to 50%
Sedentary Work: May be required to sit for extended periods while working on tasks, attending meetings, or using a computer.
Computer Use: Proficiency with computers and other office equipment is often a requirement.
Vision: Good vision is typically important for reading documents, working on a computer, and other tasks that require visual acuity.
Repetitive Motions: May involve repetitive motions, such as typing or using a mouse; should be able to perform these tasks comfortably to avoid repetitive strain injuries.
Mobility: Will need to be able to walk for extended periods while touring prospect facilities. May need to move around the office for meetings, collaboration, or other tasks; mobility within the office may be necessary.
Lifting: While lifting heavy objects is not a common requirement, may occasionally need to lift or move items such as boxes of supplies or equipment.
Sensory Requirements: Ability to concentrate in a relatively quiet environment or handle occasional loud noises.
