Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with clients to assess their strengths, interests, and employment aspirations.
- Develop personalized employment plans that align with each individual’s goals and abilities.
- Provide hands-on coaching in job search strategies, interview preparation, resume writing, and workplace skills.
- Support clients during job placements by offering on-the-job mentoring and troubleshooting to ensure retention.
- Coordinate with employers, community agencies, and support networks to facilitate successful employment opportunities.
- Conduct training sessions focused on social skills, workplace behavior, and independence skills tailored to individual needs.
- Maintain detailed records of client progress, employment outcomes, and coaching activities to ensure continuous improvement.
Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment and labor laws relevant to workplace accommodations and rights.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Background in addiction counseling or mental health support is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to teach, mentor, and motivate diverse populations in educational or workforce settings.
- Skills in interviewing, recruiting, training & development, and workforce development initiatives.
- Prior experience in social work or related fields that involve client advocacy and support planning.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and foster positive relationships with clients and employers alike.
