Duties
- Operate CNC saw machines with precision, following detailed blueprint specifications and dimensional measurements.
- Set up and calibrate machinery using hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to ensure accurate cuts.
- Handle heavy materials safely using forklift or other heavy equipment as needed, adhering strictly to safety regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to maintain optimal performance.
- Measure materials accurately.
- Follow all safety protocols including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) use such as respiratory protection, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection.
- Assist with stone finishing, polishing, and assembly tasks to achieve high-quality surface finishes.
- Handle materials carefully during fabrication and materials handling processes within the warehouse setting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards in production.
- Document production activities accurately, including logging machine usage, measurements, and quality checks.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC saws or similar machinery in stone fabrication or manufacturing environments.
- Mechanical knowledge of power tools, machining processes, and heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, dimensional measurements, and following detailed specifications.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for precise measurements and adjustments.
- Proficiency with tape measures and other measurement tools essential for quality control.
- Experience with fabrication techniques such as stone finishing, polishing, and assembly.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments including PPE adherence and safe materials handling practices.
- Warehouse experience or construction background preferred; familiarity with forklift operation is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with digital templates
- Experience programming and using AlphaCam or AutoCad
