Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Handle various cleaning tasks such as floor care, chemical agent handling, and sanitation of bathrooms and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment.
- Manage janitorial responsibilities with precision, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized according to safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly for resolution.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure guest and staff safety during any incident or evacuation.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to linen or supplies delivery while adhering to manual handling safety guidelines.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and ensure compliance with hotel housekeeping management standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles, demonstrating strong attention to detail and efficiency.
- Familiarity with floor cleaning techniques, vacuuming, chemical handling, and sanitation procedures essential for maintaining a hygienic environment.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) instructions.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required throughout the shift.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management practices and janitorial experience preferred.
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe environment at all times.
