Individual Life & Health Insurance Producer
Position Summary:
The primary function of this role is to identify client needs and offer tailored life and health insurance solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of health and life insurance products, and a passion for helping individuals and families protect their financial future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains a client base; seeks new prospects via referrals, direct mail, social media, group presentations, promotions, and other methods.
- Consults with clients and prospective clients to assess insurance needs, budget, financial planning goals, and other relevant details.
- Provides rate quotes and coverage recommendations; assists with long-term planning.
- Assists with completion of applications and other necessary paperwork.
- Follows up with clients on a periodic basis to assess financial, family, and other changes that may warrant modification of coverage.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field preferred
- Active Minnesota Life & Health Insurance license, or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Proven experience in insurance sales or a related field preferred
- Experience using virtual sales tools and engaging clients remotely
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms
- Knowledge of individual health and life insurance products, including ACA and Medicare, preferred
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices
- Willingness to travel locally as needed
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, as permitted by law
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
