The Server will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences through attentive service and effective upselling techniques.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness of dining areas
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Manage guest inquiries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Process payments accurately through POS systems and handle cash or credit transactions responsibly
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and wine pairings to assist guests effectively
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is preferred
- Experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling tasks
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and revenue generation
