Keyport Liquor Store is seeking a dependable and motivated Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our store in Superior, Wisconsin. This is not a sit-behind-the-desk management position. We are looking for a working manager who leads by example and isn’t afraid to jump in wherever needed.
The right candidate will balance the business side of the operation with the day-to-day work of the store, ensuring customers receive excellent service while the store remains organized, stocked, and operating efficiently.
Position Responsibilities
Store Operations
- Manage the daily operation of the liquor store
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers
- Ensure compliance with all liquor laws and company policies
Inventory and Ordering
- Order beer, wine, liquor, and other merchandise
- Work with vendors and monitor deliveries
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and prevent shortages
Budget and Financial Oversight
- Follow purchasing budgets
- Monitor product margins and store performance
- Assist ownership with sales tracking and cost control
Staff Scheduling and Leadership
- Create and manage employee schedules
- Provide leadership and support to store staff
- Help maintain a positive and professional team environment
Working Manager Responsibilities
- Cashiering and assisting customers at the register
- Stocking shelves and coolers
- Assisting customers with carry-outs
- Handling day-to-day customer service needs
Qualifications
- Previous retail, liquor, grocery, or hospitality management experience preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage inventory and follow budgets
- Comfortable working on your feet and lifting inventory when needed
- Reliable, responsible, and customer-focused
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment
Knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits is helpful but not required.
