Job Description


Overview:

The Retention Operations Specialist assists the Student Success team in maintaining efficiencies, process and data within the Student Success department. This position is responsible for the data entry, data integrity, and the execution of all administrative process for a group of assigned degree programs.

As a Retention Operations Specialist you will:

  • Responsible for data entry and CRM management for all assigned programs.
  • Ensures quality assurance for all student data within internal CRM for assigned programs.
  • Responsible for maintaining and deploying all assigned student and retention reports to key stakeholders.
  • In partnership with the Student Success Advising team, manages degree path updates for current students within assigned programs.
  • In charge of student record reconciliation including the management of student roster files detail for assigned programs.
  • Sets up email templates within the CRM for mass email campaigns to enrolled students.
  • Completes CRM resolution tickets for assigned programs.
  • Responsible for helping maintain any internal SOPs, training materials, or new student onboarding packages
  • Responds to requests for data and work orders for Student Success team within established timeframe.
  • Identifies needs for new process and helps identify efficient and effective solutions.
  • Participates in long-term CRM development projects in collaboration with IT.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education:
Some college required; Associate degree preferred

Experience:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in administrative operations or similar experience required.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in working in higher education or similar environment preferred.
  • Passion for excellence and ability to adapt
  • Strong analytical skills and experience delivering high levels of customer service
  • Experienced problem solver, able to work quickly and toward deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as outstanding listening and comprehension skills
  • Strong collaboration skills across functions and locations
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and deal with ambiguity
  • Keen attention to detail including skills in record keeping and records management

Technical skills:

  • Preferred proficiency with:
    • Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
      • Advanced Excel skills preferred
    • Internal CRM or database systems
    • Learning management and/or student information systems
  • Adaptable to new technical skills and software
