A Dental Hygienist plays a crucial role in maintaining patients' oral health by providing preventive dental care and educating patients on proper hygiene practices. This position involves working closely with dentists to ensure effective treatment and comfort for patients, typically seeing fewer than 10 patients per day in a detailed-oriented clinical environment. We are looking for for someone to help our our office two days a week.
Responsibilities
- Provide oral hygiene education to patients
- Perform teeth cleaning and plaque/tartar removal
- Conduct dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Process and develop dental X-rays
- Implement infection control and sterilize dental equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in dental hygiene
- Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene
- Knowledge of dental radiography
- Strong patient communication skills
- Familiarity with infection control procedures
- Proficient in oral health assessment and charting software
- Effective time management and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate well within a dental team
