KeyBank is seeking qualified candidates for their Foreign Exchange Trades team.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in handling foreign exchange and trades within a financial institution.
This job does require you to live and travel 1-2 days per week to our Cleveland, OH location. The remaining days would be considered remote work from home. The days will be defined upon hire.
BACKGROUND
Process foreign exchange trades within regulatory and internal guidelines. Monitor, research
and reconcile institutional and corporate foreign exchange trade activity, ensuring correctness of all transactions. Fast paced environment with responsibilities that can have meaningful impact for clients and KeyBank.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Inputting trade data into foreign exchange system, verifying all details, calculations and controls
- Preparing settlements on foreign exchange contracts for transmission via SWIFT, Fed Wire, Chips and ACH bounded by time critical deadlines.
- Ensure receipt of counter currency prior to sending payments for ‘early payment’ clients
- Notifying FX sales trader of discrepancies in daily trade input, and resolving before reports are completed
- Educating/Training the Lead Specialist on the verify desk as needed
- Assisting Team Lead Operations Analyst and Manager on projects as requested
- Back up on other foreign exchange operations desks as needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Four year college degree preferred or qualifying experience in Financial Service operations. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and Time Management skills
- Thorough understanding of the foreign exchange environment and/or strong desire to learn.
- Experience on investment processing/accounting systems and/or ability to learn
- Detail oriented
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
- Use of Microsoft Word and Excel

- On the job training to include departmental functions and detailed review of unit policies, procedures and responsibilities
- Bank sponsored courses, as necessary/applicable
