Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales / Project Manager to seek new customers with equipment fabrication opportunities. This individual will generate sales leads, organize onsite plant visitations, gather information from which a competitive quote may be presented. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, will be liaison between engineering, shop superintendent, management and customer, facilitating an open exchange of information. The candidate will possess strong in-person consultive sales experience, project management skills and custom metal fabrication industry knowledge. This role involves managing client relationships, overseeing project proposals, and ensuring the successful execution of sales projects within the custom fabrication sector. The position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in metal fabrication management and project coordination to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality projects.
Responsibilities
- Initiate sales leads and contact potential customers
- Support on going sales with established customers
- Develop project proposals, including cost estimates and schedules
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project scope aligns with client needs and company capabilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to facilitate accurate project planning and execution
- Oversee project scheduling and resource allocation to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Monitor project progress through regular site visits and communication with construction teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols and specifications
- Manage contract negotiations, change orders, and client communications throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with project teams on site coordination, ensuring effective communication between all stakeholders
- Maintain detailed records of project activities, updates, and reports for management review
Experience
- Established experience in equipment sales
- Proven experience in custom fabrication management or related roles with a focus on project coordination and sales support
- Significant knowledge and understanding of equipment installation
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations and understanding of blueprint reading and contracts
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, time management, and contract administration within the fabrication industry
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and construction management best practices
- Excellent communication skills for effective project coordination among diverse teams
