Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Compliance Officer based in Portland, ME, with opportunities for remote work. The Compliance Officer will develop and enforce regulatory compliance frameworks, monitor and analyze compliance-related activities, and ensure adherence to financial and legal requirements. Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, designing effective compliance programs, reviewing policies and practices, and managing regulatory audits. This role involves collaboration with internal stakeholders and external regulatory entities to maintain standards and mitigate risks proactively.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Compliance Management and Regulatory Compliance practices and strategies
- Analytical skills to evaluate data, identify risks, and develop corrective action plans
- Excellent Communication skills for building collaborative relationships and reporting compliance requirements effectively
- Solid knowledge of financial systems and regulatory standards related to the wealth management industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field
- Ability to adapt to hybrid work environments and handle responsibilities both in-office and remotely
- Prior experience in the financial services sector or regulatory agencies is a plus
- Professional certifications like CRCM or similar are advantageous
