Job Title: Parts and Maintenance Assistant
Location: Visalia, CA
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday
Position Overview
Key Staffing is currently seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support purchasing and inventory operations for a growing organization in Visalia, CA. This position works directly under the Purchasing Manager and plays a critical role in ensuring materials and supplies are ordered, tracked, and delivered efficiently to support daily operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a desire to build a long-term career in purchasing and procurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain purchase orders accurately and efficiently
- Contact vendors to obtain pricing, quotes, and product information
- Track material orders and monitor delivery status
- Receive and check in incoming materials and supplies
- Prepare and organize materials for field operations
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal team members
- Assist with inventory tracking and supply management
- Support the Purchasing Manager with daily administrative and procurement tasks
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned projects and responsibilities
Qualifications
- Previous purchasing, administrative, or office support experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
- Reliable and interested in long-term employment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 25lbs as needed
- Ability to walk between office, warehouse, and receiving areas
- Ability to perform repetitive data entry and administrative tasks throughout the day
