What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly Technician position at Key Skilled Personnel?
Position Title: Assembly
Location: Valencia, CA
Shift: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM - 11:30PM (OT required during the week and on Saturday/Sunday when needed) (Will train on 1st shift 6am - 2:30pm for a 2-4 weeks)
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 (DOE)
- Assemble, fit, and torque components to precise tolerances following CMMs (Component Maintenance Manuals), IPCs (Illustrated Parts Catalogs), and other technical documentation.
- Perform functional testing of landing gear systems post-overhaul.
- Document maintenance actions accurately per FAA and company standards.
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Engineering, and Planning to resolve technical issues.
- Maintain compliance with FAA Part 145, EASA, and customer requirements.
- Adhere to all safety and FOD prevention procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in aviation maintenance preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of aircraft component assembly experience; direct landing gear MRO experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of FAA Part 145 operations and commercial aircraft requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret CMMs, blueprints, service bulletins, and engineering specs.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
