Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development across the U.S. market for custom intermediates, with a focus on early-stage innovators, generics companies, and CDMOs.
- Develop and execute a territory strategy to identify and prioritize high-potential targets.
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in R&D, procurement, CMC, and executive leadership roles.
- Collaborate with internal teams (technical, regulatory, project management) to develop tailored proposals and ensure smooth client onboarding.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry networking events.
- Track sales activity and manage pipeline using CRM tools; provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally to support service delivery and long-term relationship development.
- 7 years of B2B sales or business development experience in custom intermediates, APIs, CDMO, or fine chemicals targeting the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of hunting and closing new business—not just managing existing accounts.
- Deep understanding of the pharma supply chain and drug development process.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to communicate complex offerings effectively.
- Existing relationships with pharma/biotech companies in the U.S. market a strong plus.
- Willingness to travel ~30-40% to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
- Experience selling to discovery, preclinical, or commercial-stage companies.
- Understanding of GMP/non-GMP production and regulatory expectations.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Dynamics, Salesforce, or HubSpot.
