Job Overview
Weekend mornings from 9am - 2/3ish pm. We will have more hours available near the end of summer. Once fully trained in, you are welcomed to fill in shifts when available. We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle transactions accurately while maintaining a positive guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage waiting list and maintain an organized seating chart.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking bakery orders or to-go's as needed.
- Process customer transactions efficiently using the Toast POS system.
- Assist with menu inquiries and provide recommendations to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Address guest concerns promptly and effectively, fostering positive guest relations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or food service is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for helping others and enhancing guest experiences.
- Flexibility to work various shifts on weekends. Being able to pick up shifts when needed.
