Duties
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences to identify potential security breaches or hazards
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and detect suspicious behavior
- Control access points using advanced access control systems, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies following established procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities for future reference
- Assist in emergency response procedures including fire drills, medical emergencies, and evacuations
- Perform background checks on new employees or visitors as part of security clearance processes
Skills
- Strong knowledge of physical security practices and protocols including patrolling and access management
- Experience with surveillance tools such as CCTV systems and alarm monitoring software
- Ability to perform first aid procedures and operate AED (Automated External Defibrillator) devices confidently
- Skilled in conflict management and de-escalation techniques to handle tense situations calmly and professionally
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures and legal regulations related to security operations
- Competence in incident report writing with clear documentation skills
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures including CPR certification and fire safety protocols
- Experience with firearm handling, taser use, and other non-lethal security tools preferred but not mandatory
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff, visitors, and vendors while maintaining security standards
