Key Polymer is a producer of high performance adhesives and coatings for automotive, electronic, transportation, industrial and commercial building applications.
Position Summary:
Complete Production and Lab support testing production batches to the product specifications
Essential Functions:
The incumbent may be required to perform all or any of a combination of the following functions as determined by business necessity:
- Completes necessary quality control testing and paperwork, compliant with the QMS and practice good laboratory hygiene practices to provide complete and accurate data related to test and quality inspections, follow nonconforming procedures when problems arise and advises production of problems.
- Help R&D staff in preventive batch monitoring via statistical process control and forensic analyses associated with corrective actions and customer service.
- Collect and analyze data to identify trends or patterns that may indicate quality issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Administratively will maintain the MRP database in respect to bills of material, quality control data, and batch certification issuance.
- The storage and removal of Production and raw material retains.
- Bacterial and Fungi testing on all Latex Storage tanks.
Non-essential Functions:
In addition to the essential functions listed above, the incumbent may be required to perform other non-essential functions. Employees are required to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform other job-related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Quality testing and background with chemical manufacturing.
- Previous experience as a Quality Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems is a plus.
- Good communications and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
