Powder Coat Pay Rate and Hours:
- Pay: $17.00/hr- $20.00/hr depending on experience/ Overnight Shift Differential $1 more
- Hours: Monday-Friday 9:30pm-6am
- The Powder Coat Technician is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal parts to meet quality and durability standards. This role involves operating specialized equipment, monitoring curing processes, and ensuring all finished products meet company and customer specifications.
- Prepare parts for coating by cleaning, sanding, and applying chemical treatments to ensure proper adhesion
- Apply powder coating using electrostatic spray equipment, maintaining consistent thickness and even coverage
- Operate and monitor curing ovens to ensure parts are processed at correct temperatures and cycle times for optimal results
- Perform routine operation and maintenance of powder coating equipment, including spray guns, hoppers, and curing systems
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products to identify defects and verify compliance with specifications
- Troubleshoot coating defects, equipment issues, and process inconsistencies
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
