Medical Assistant – OB/GYN Job Summary:
Key Personnel is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join a busy OB/GYN practice. The ideal candidate will have previous OB/GYN experience, strong clinical skills, and a proven history of longevity in previous positions. This role is best suited for a dependable, team-oriented professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and takes pride in providing consistent, high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will contribute to efficient patient flow while supporting physicians, clinical staff, and patients throughout the office.
Medical Assistant – OB/GYN Job Duties:
- Room patients efficiently and accurately, including obtaining and documenting vital signs
- Assist physicians with examinations and in-office procedures
- Administer injections and medications as directed and within scope of practice
- Obtain and document accurate patient histories and clinical information
- Handle and appropriately triage patient telephone calls
- Communicate patient concerns and clinical information to providers and appropriate clinical staff
- Maintain efficient patient flow throughout the office
- Prepare examination rooms and maintain appropriate clinical supplies
- Provide professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable patient service
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Follow established clinical protocols, safety standards, and office procedures
- Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff in a busy OB/GYN environment
Medical Assistant – OB/GYN Job Requirements:
- Previous OB/GYN experience required
- Medical Assistant experience in a clinical or physician office setting
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and patient care
- Experience with patient rooming, vital signs, injections, physician assistance, and telephone triage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional and patient-focused demeanor
- Demonstrated reliability and a history of stability and longevity in previous positions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
