Hours: 30 hours a week/Part-Time
Pay: $21.00 – $22.00/hour (DOE)

Our Food Pantry serves as a vital hub for the Key Peninsula by supporting families, seniors, and individuals with consistent access to food in a welcoming and respectful environment.
Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable, organized, and community-minded Food Pantry Manager to lead daily operations of our pantry.
This role balances logistics and people. You’ll manage food inventory, reporting, and volunteers—while also ensuring every person who walks through our doors feels welcomed, respected, and supported.
The right person is kind, steady, and able to maintain clear boundaries while working with a wide range of community members.
What You’ll Do
Pantry Operations & Inventory
- Oversee day-to-day food pantry operations
- Order, receive, sort, and manage food inventory
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe storage areas
- Help load, unload, and move food and supplies (regular lifting required)
Customer Service & Client Experience
- Create a welcoming, respectful, and dignified experience for all clients
- Support a self-shopping or client-choice model where possible
- Assist clients directly and help resolve concerns calmly and professionally
- Set and maintain clear, appropriate boundaries with clients
Volunteers & Team Support
- Recruit, train, and support pantry volunteers
- Provide clear direction and ensure a safe, positive environment
- Work closely with staff across programs to support overall operations
Reporting & Data Management
- Track inventory, services, and program outcomes
- Complete grant and partner reporting accurately and on time
- Maintain organized records and documentation
- Use basic computer systems for data entry and reporting
Community & Program Support
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners and donors
- Support fundraising efforts and attend occasional community events
- Help identify ways to improve pantry operations and client experience

Helpful (but not required)
- Experience in food pantry, warehouse, retail, or similar operations
- Experience working with volunteers
- Knowledge of Pierce County resources
- Comfort with technology or willingness to help others with basic tech needs (a plus)
Requirements
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License and insurance
- Ability to pass a background check
- Food Handler’s Card (or ability to obtain)
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
Physical Requirements
- Regular standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs)
- Indoor and outdoor work in a variety of conditions
