Hairstylist/Cosmetologist

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cosmetology and demonstrate exceptional skills in hair cutting, coloring, and styling. This role requires a creative individual who can provide excellent customer service while ensuring a welcoming and professional salon environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality hair styling services including cutting, coloring, and treatments tailored to clients' needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and salon equipment in accordance with health regulations.
• Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling appointments and managing client records.
• Engage with clients to understand their preferences and offer personalized recommendations.
• Upsell additional services and products to enhance the client experience.
• Mentor junior stylists or interns by sharing knowledge and techniques to foster their growth.
• Assist with front desk duties including greeting clients, answering inquiries, and processing payments.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in hair styling, techniques, and products.

Skills

• Proven experience in cosmetology with a valid cosmetology license.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in using salon software such as MINDBODY for appointment management.
• Knowledge of hair threading techniques is a plus.
• Ability to sanitize tools and maintain a clean work environment consistently.
• Experience with hair extensions is desirable but not mandatory.
• A flair for upselling services or products based on client needs.
