What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Psychologist/Neuropsychologist position at Key Insights Neuropsychology and Counseling?
Key Insights Neuropsychology and Counseling, a group private practice on Long Island, is growing and in need of an additional pediatric practitioner to provide both assessment and treatment services. This is an ideal position for a post-doctoral fellow or early career psychologist with the potential for permanent employment. Linda LaMarca, PhD, ABPP, provides supervision and didactics that fulfill the two-year post-doc requirement for board certification in neuropsychology as well as NY state licensure. The primary population served is children with neurodevelopment disorders (ASD, ADHD, LD, etc.) and training will include mastery of the ADOS-2 and ADI-R, including for less typical ASD presentations. Child and family therapy training will also be provided and carrying a therapy caseload is expected. It is a hybrid position where telehealth appointments and report writing can be completed from home approximately two days per week. The start date and work hours are flexible. The practice is lifespan, so there is also the opportunity to work with adults. The practice staff consists of Dr. LaMarca (owner), two neuropsychology post-doc fellows, one licensed clinical psychologist, one social worker, and one mental health counselor.
