What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brokerage Service and Operational Support Associate position at Key Community Bank?
The Role
Individual will provide industry expertise and support to Financial Representatives using strong interpersonal skills to service business and retail customers and support trading and other critical operations functions. Strong phone and written skills are expected. Attention to detail and ability to complete necessary paperwork efficiently through the lifecycle of customer onboarding including opening accounts, servicing customer requests including but not limited to address changes, beneficiary updates, financial (ACH) instructions, IRA distributions, etc.
Individual will report to the Operations Manager and will support core operational activities between Feltl and the various RBC operational departments. Problem solving and attention to detail is a key skill as you navigate operational processes across all areas of brokerage trading, clearing, and custody platforms.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 1-3 years of financial services experience in brokerage trading, operations, and/or customer service preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to multitask, prioritize, and adjust to change
- Positive attitude
- Attention to detail in following procedures & controls to ensure accurate and timely work
- The ability to work in a small, tight-knit team daily to share responsibilities
- Ability to recognize and escalate high-risk items
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (such as Word or Excel), and the ability to train on and work with different operating systems
- Assisting in the development and review for new and/or changes to departmental policies and procedures
- Implementing workflows in a constantly evolving environment
- Strong customer service orientation, i.e., the ability to prioritize and resolve customer service issues, maintain focus and professionalism under pressure, and identify/escalate pattern anomalies.

Certifications:
Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) and FINRA Series 99 – Operational Professional Exam- preferred
