Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated, results-driven Outside Sales Representative to develop new business and grow existing accounts throughout the Boston market. This is a remote, field-based position that combines prospecting, relationship building, and consultative selling.
The ideal candidate is comfortable hunting for new opportunities, managing a sales territory, and working directly with customers to identify packaging solutions that meet their operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan for the Boston market
- Identify and prospect new customers through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research
- Conduct in-person and virtual sales presentations
- Build strong relationships with purchasing managers, operations leaders, warehouse managers, and business owners
- Evaluate customer packaging processes and recommend cost-saving solutions
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and pricing recommendations
- Collaborate with internal customer service and operations teams to ensure successful implementation
- Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records within CRM
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
- Stay informed on packaging industry trends and competitive activity
Qualifications
- 2 years of outside sales experience, preferably in packaging, industrial products, manufacturing, logistics, or distribution
- Proven track record of developing new business and achieving sales targets
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience using CRM software
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the territory
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
