Job Summary
We are looking for a Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in test automation, SQL, and end-to-end testing across backend and UI layers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive in identifying quality gaps, and comfortable working in fast-paced Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Python.
- Perform UI, backend, and API testing to ensure system reliability, functionality, and performance.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and test verification.
- Validate data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and data engineers to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in test planning, test case design, and code reviews.
- Ensure high test coverage, reusability, and maintainability of automation frameworks.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in software quality engineering or testing.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python-based test automation using Playwright.
- Experience with UI automation tools, preferably Playwright with Python.
- Solid experience in API/backend testing, including REST APIs and tools such as Postman or similar.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.
- Hands-on experience testing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Good understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and Agile practices.
- Experience working in Microsoft Azure environments, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, or similar services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to Databricks is preferred.
