What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Aide position at Key Advantage Home Care?
Key Advantage Home Care LLC is currently hiring dependable and compassionate Residential Direct Support Professionals DSPs to work with male individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ID/DD in a residential home setting.
The DSP will assist individuals with daily living skills, personal care, community participation, safety supervision, meal preparation, medication assistance as assigned and trained, documentation, and implementation of the individual’s care plan and goals.
Job Duties Include:
Assist male residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, laundry, and household routines.
Provide supervision and support in a residential home setting.
Assist with community outings and activities as assigned.
Follow each individual’s Person-Centered Plan PCP, behavior support plan, and agency instructions.
Use verbal redirection and positive support techniques when needed.
Document services accurately, including daily notes, behavior tracking, incident reporting, and required agency forms.
Report changes in condition, incidents, medication concerns, or safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
Maintain a clean, safe, respectful, and supportive home environment.
Treat all individuals with dignity, respect, privacy, and professionalism.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must have reliable transportation.
HSD/GED
Must be dependable and able to report to assigned shifts on time.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
Must be willing to complete all required training before working independently.
Preferred Experience:
Direct Support Professional DSP experience.
Residential ID/DD experience.
Behavior support experience.
Medication assistance experience or willingness to train.
Experience with personal care, documentation, and community-based support.
Important Expectations:
Staff must be reliable, professional, and able to work with male individuals in a residential setting.
Staff must follow all agency policies, client rights, confidentiality requirements, and safety procedures.
Staff must complete all documentation accurately and timely.
Staff must not use personal phones during shift except for emergency or approved work-related communication.
Pay: From $14.75 per hour
