A pharmacy technician is responsible for accurately preparing prescriptions under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist, while performing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide fantastic customer service.
- Inputs patient data and prescription information into the pharmacy software system
- With direction from the Pharmacist, prepare and dispense medications as ordered by providers by calculating, measuring and mixing ingredients.
- Follow all state, federal and company guidelines.
- Assist in management of drug & otc inventory and/or perform clinical services under the direction of a clinical pharmacist.
- Assist with keeping pharmacy clean & in order.
- Be able to pass background check to become licensed with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy.
- Willing to study and pass test to become a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- Ability to work as a team with excellent communication skills.
Candidates must be able to stand for long periods of time, some lifting may be required.
Qualified candidates should have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
